Third Fill - Restriction Test


So, earlier in the week I had asked a question about when do you feel restriction with a fill and know whether or not it's working. Heard from most people that it's not until you eat solids after a fill that you can really tell whether or not you've got some restriction. So, today was my first day back on solids and to the left is a picture of my lunch. I'm a huge burger girl and find that it's a great go-to for me post band because it's good protein and I don't eat the bread so not terribly bad for me. At home I eat the 95% lean meat, in a restaurant I just eat what they serve me. This is a 10 ounce burger, the picture is deceptive, but I think I ate about 1/3 of it. I also had four french fries. The bite you see still on the fork is the bite that I raised to my mouth and then put down....thank god I did. I was so full...no chest pain, but let me tell you that burger was telling me it was in my pouch and it was going to hang around for a while. So I stopped eating. Also, my full sign is a silent little inside burp. I typically stop eating before I burp, but if I wait about 5 minutes, it will happen. That means I'm done for sure.

I'm interested to see how long I stay full for. That, of course, will be the true test of whether or not this fill will stick. I stopped eating at 12:45, so I'm hoping I'm not hungry before 4:45. I'll let you know!

p.s. Tonight is week 2, day 2 of C25k and...I DON'T WANNA. I will, because I have to, but holy cow does my body hurt from the walk yesterday. I have this awful muscle pain in the left side of my lower back. There is a knot there and my legs are a bit sore. It would probably be good to rest tonight, but if I don't work out tonight, I'll have to do C25k tomorrow and Sunday and I don't think that's any better....so I have a date with the treadmill on this lovely Friday evening and I can't stand him up!

  1. o god, talk about food porn...that burger looks AMAZING, I wish I was there to share it with you lol. So I had third fill yesterday and am feeling very restricted, not thinking I just started to eat an apple, I had about 3 bites and was done! YAY, we are getting there! Good for you for sticking the workout plan, you can do it!

  2. Have a massage - Sal Anthony's in the East Village is reasonably priced, and there therapists there know their stuff. If you don't fix problems when they start, you will be miserable!

  3. Your story is too cute. I'm glad your band is working. Disliking the treadmill and keeping your date is a good thing. You wouldn't want to be unfaithful. You are doing great
