Well, I woke up this morning and was up 1.8 pounds. Don't worry, the scale is still in tact. ;-) Let's recap, I did day three of C25k yesterday and gained weight. Hmmm... I do think that part of it is due to the alcohol I drank this weekend and the fact that I didn't drink enough water. Regardless, it sucked.
Anyway, went for my third fill today which I'm really excited about. My first two fills were tough, three pokes on the first one, five on the second. Then of course we realized that my port was flipped. Today was great (except for the one hour wait). Gaspar did my fill - a side note...he was fantastic. Not only was he nice, but he didn't hurt me!! He put .75 cc's in my band today, so I've got 6.25 in my band now. He didn't want to do anymore than .75 since he feels like I'm really close. I really hope this does the trick and that the scale starts moving again. I do feel some restriction while drinking, so hopefully it holds!
I had lost 10 pounds since my last trip to the doctor which was a month ago so I guess I can't feel bad about that.

Great progress~ just keep doing what you are doing and don't worry too much about it...
ReplyDeleteOooh I hope the scales start moving too. The new level of restriction is awesome.. but does take a little to get used to. I have almost the same as you.. 6ml (cc). Let's hope that 6.25 gets you to the sweet spot.

sounds like overall the scale is moving in the right direction, even if it moved in the wrong one today.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work and don't get TOO filled! That was even worse than being too loose... And remember what everyone has told me, which is that if you're running, you're building muscle which weighs more! I've definitely noticed that I'm not losing as much, but things are fitting better!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about the fill, I hope my third goes as well as yours on Thursday. I had 3 pokes my first and 4 my second, so hopefully if I remind them it's tilted we can do it in one this time. 10lbs in a month is amazing, and although your scale is being a jerk right now it'll catch up with your hard work! You crack me up, my scale is glass also and I think about throwing it weekly!
ReplyDeleteThat 1.8 is water weight, ignore it! The third fill should really help, hope this is the one for you.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, 10lbs in 1 month is more than awesome!!!!! How do you get fills with a flipped port??? Man o man those last few fills were tough! My second fill was tough she poked me and then moved it around for like 10 minutes before she found it....not that it hurt but that is such a weird uncomfortable feeling you know!? I just had my 4th fill a few weeks ago and it brought me up to 6.5cc and I have dropped almost 10lbs since so I think you will really see a different now! Oh and you are so sweet for the comment you made about my pic, thank you so much!!!!

Oops!! Not port flip...my port tilted!! It tilts down towards my pelvis, so now they know they have to go in at an angle.
ReplyDeleteJen- I'm glad my bastard scale is plastic !!! LOL ! I'm glad this fill went smoother and hope 3 is the magic number, but regardless you did fabulous with 10 lbs in a month counting having had surgery WOW !! Keep it up chica.
ReplyDeleteSo what's your next reward ??
