Hey Everyone! Thanks for the great comments on my vlog. It was fun to do, and I'm excited to do more. Watch out world, it's the Jen show!! ;-)
So, I mentioned in my body bugg post that one of the things it had gotten me to do was move my body and make different decisions about how I would get in exercise each day. Well I had a doctor's appointment today (follow-up with my endocrinologist) and since it was absolutely gorgeous here in NYC today, I decided to walk. Left at 1, got to the doctor's at about 1:45 and then decided to walk home. My route is on the left. Once I got home, I went to Gmap Pedometer to map my route and realized that I walked nearly 3.5 miles! I uploaded my body bugg and as of 4:30 I had walked nearly 11,794 steps. CRAZY!
So it's seems like the thyroid issue is not completely put to bed. My endo has decided that he wants me to have a biopsy on the left side of my thyroid. I have a nodule there that is approaching 1cm which is considered dominant, so he wants to rule out cancer on that side. The only fear I have is that my last biopsy (while it said possible papillary carcinoma) was inconclusive. Inconclusive = surgery. So, I'm hoping that it conclusively comes back as no cancer. I just don't want to go through another surgery!
Still hungry today on the second day of mushies. Had a cup of Hale and Heartys Corn and Chicken Bisque for lunch today....was still hungry. Had string cheese as a snack, that helped. For dinner I had 4 oz of tuna with miracle whip light and 3 crackers....halfway through I had the pain in my chest feeling. Didn't get stuck in terms of needing anything to come back, but that was my warning that tuna wasn't my friend. Guess that means I must have some restriction. I finished the crackers with some laughing cow light cheese and had another string cheese. That is a whole lotta cheese! My calories today are still 1000 so that's good. Tomorrow I'm back on solids, so interested to see how much restriction I really have. Tuna has been a hard one for me in the past, but it just has so much protein and is so quick and easy that I still try each time.
I'm so excited tomorrow is Friday. I have a wedding Saturday on Long Island and am bringing my best friend as my date, should be fun. I'm wearing a dress that I wore four years ago and it's a tad big, but should work just fine. Then Sunday I'm headed to Catherine's to try on some clothes she has for me. YEAH!! Very excited about that!
