ROAR!!!

Took this picture at the zoo today. His name is Sasha. He's so cute, I just wanna cuddle up with him and scratch him behind his ears!!

Now, back to the title of this post. Got on the scale this morning, back to 230. I have literally gone 229, 230 since last Wed. So annoying! I worked out yesterday, drank tons of water, chopped a foot off my hair and gained a pound. WTF!?!? Today, I walked my bum off at the zoo. The Bronx zoo is huge and we walked the whole thing and back and forth to a couple of different places. I figure we walked at least three miles. Hoping that will get things moving. Tomorrow is day two of C25k, I'm not looking forward to it at all, but hoping again that if I keep moving, the scale will too.

I have noticed that my restriction is virtually gone. I can take multiple drinks of water at a time, not gulping huge amounts, but probably a good five sips and don't feel anything whereas just last week, I wouldn't have been able to do more than two. I have my fill next Monday - thank god. Hoping that will kick the restriction back to where it was. I'm still eating well, but it's because I stop myself. At the zoo today, I had half a turkey wrap and a bottle of water.

Do any of you have a bodybugg? I decided to get one after this latest stall. I know I've been losing great, but I hate stalling period and I like to know I have control over things. For those of you who don't know, the bodybugg is what they use on The Biggest Loser. It's the armband device around their upper arm that they wear constantly. It calculates all of the calories you expend daily and uploads them to a website where you can the log all of your food and it calculates the deficit for you. The minimum deficit you should have daily in order to lose 2 pounds per week is 1000 calories. I read some great reviews on it, so I thought I would try it. It comes tomorrow! Let me know if you use one, I'm interested in how it's working for you.

  1. Hi Jen,

The stall really sucks. The good news is you are looking great!

I did get the Bodybugg several months ago. It was cool for the first five days or so, then just annoying. For me, just one more thing to obsess about. But that is my personality. It works well for others. I hope you like it!

  2. Hey Jen,
Thanks for your lovely words on my post (pics one). Seems we really are both living the same life at the moment: I hate it when restriction goes. My water goes down the same as yours.. I can chug though.. my food is also going down well (except heavy stuff - tried a low cal chicken burger on toasted bun last night.. NO GO lol .. good new tho.. it put me off eating the rest, I only got a quarter the way thru.)
I am looking forward to this fill today..really am. Hope yours comes quickly too!
