How I'm Doing

So Proud, Had to Share

Just a quick note. I'm at work (for those of you that don't know, I work for a boutique consulting firm in NYC as a Management Consultant) and we are owned by a PR firm who has a certain high-quality (read lots of butterfat) ice cream client. Initials H.D. Anyway, they just sent out an email about free ice cream on the 4th floor and my colleagues came to get me. (Everyone knows that I had surgery and are all incredibly supportive, but don't know all the details - e.g., the rules of the band). I politely refused and they went upstairs. Well, our finance manager - the lovely Elaine brought the box to me and was pushing (C'mon, have one) - she doesn't know I had the surgery, I don't think. I said "No thank you, not interested". And you know what? I wasn't. Not even remotely. It's not worth it. I'm on a mission and right now it doesn't involve ice cream. It will one day, I'm a big fan, but it was unplanned for today, therefore NO!!!
