Julie and Julia

Today was mom's last day with me, so we decided to go see Julie and Julia. Great movie! Inspired me to cook, which is good because I just ordered a lapband cookbook. It was a tiny bit tough looking at the amazing food on the screen, but I just kept sipping on my water. ;-)

I started mushies today. My, what a different world it is! I had scrambled eggs for breakfast, some tuna for lunch, refried beans and cheese for dinner and some greek yogurt with blended peaches for dessert. 600 calories total and all yummy! I find that I'm still a bit hungry and still focused on food, but the willpower is strong right now. I'm in the zone!

Lucy (the adorable one on the left) and I are headed to the park tomorrow to walk. I have a friend in town who is hosting a picnic in the park. I was lucky enough two years ago to grab a great apartment just outside of Central Park on the West side, so I like to consider it my backyard. I just like to let those millions of people stomp through it everyday. ;-)

I am virtually pain free today and THRILLED!!

  4. OMG that little gal is so adorable! When we still lived in our condo, Skittles' best friend was a yorkie named Minnie. When she sees yorkie's now she cries in excitement ;-)

Lucy is as cute as a little button!

Oh wait, this is a weight loss blog. Er, um, right!

Seriously tho, thanks for posting your calorie amount. I am using it as a guide for my own calorie count. The center where I had my surgery has really loose guidelines as far as serving sizes and calorie amounts go so that is a big help!
