How I'm Doing

Baggy Pants

So, today was official weigh in day and you can tell by my ticker, I lost 1 pound last week. Went from 5 pounds a week to 1 pound. That's okay though....this is a journey not a race. That being said, I refuse to be on the side of lap band peeps that only lose a pound a week. I want to be on the other end and get to my goal within a year. I'm just a big ole paradox right now...I say it's not about the race but want to get to my goal in a year. Don't worry people, I get the craziness in that statement but I know what I want.

So, I know one key to my success is going to be working out. It's never been one of my favorite things to do. In fact, it's been one of my least favorite. I'm the girl that buys that treadmill that she ends up using twice and hangs her clothes on. I seem to think that if I buy the equipment, I will exercise, and yet time and time again I don't. So here comes the next paradox....I bought Wii fit today. I know, you're saying "But Jen, you just told us you buy crap and never use it." This is where you guys come into play. (p.s., my mom is reading this and rolling her eyes right now. She bought me an ellipitcal machine that so far, my aunt who visited for a long weekend used more than I have).

So here's your job. Ask me how the Wii fit is going once in a while. Don't ask me now, I don't have it yet, it's coming tomorrow. But ask me. I don't lie, so I'll be honest and you questioning will guilt me into doing it. You're probably saying "Jen, that's not healthy, feeling guilted by us to exercise". But seriously....guilt is healthier than sitting on my ass, so BRING IT ON!!!

xoxo

p.s. Ha ha. I posted this and then read my title and realized this post has zilch to do with baggy pants. Well, my pants were baggy today. Baggy enough that I say they've got this week and that's it. Shopping this weekend. I do have other pants, but they are all the same Lane Bryant Houston trousers, so I figure one is baggy all are baggy.

  1. LOL !!! Still a good job !!! a pound less is better than a pound more. You're gonna love the Wii fit, I have it and have started using it more often and it's awesome especially the new fitness games. If you'd like we can even meet up for workouts using the mii's.

We're here to help eachother out, even if that means about being a pain in your butt with the working out !! You'll hate me now but wait till you get into the bathing suit !!!

  2. Okay: I commit to asking you if you're "wii-ing".

    :-)

I think it's a great idea, btw. To check-in like that. In exchange please ask me about exercise, this way we can support one another :-)

You are doing so wonderfully, btw!

  3. I want to meet up for workouts too! I love the Wii Fit and Yoga kicks my a$$! Stay away from the yoga! :) I love the hula hoop and the slalom skiing, there are so many cool things on it. BTW, the Wii fit will scold you too if you don't check in regularly enough. It even asks others (on my system) if I've been working out! HOW RUDE! I'll be checking in with you too!
