Okay so it's not my house, it actually belongs to the Queen of England, but there is one true thing about this photo...I've lost 80 pounds! It will be six months next Wednesday since I started the pre-op diet. I'm absolutely thrilled that in that time this band has helped me drop this weight! It hasn't all been roses and daffodils, but it's been worth it. I can still eat the things I like (sans bread and I don't really miss it), but some things are tough. Like the fact that it took me 2 1/2 weeks to lose 1.8 pounds. So while the weight is coming off slower, I know that it's important to keep my entire journey in mind and recognize that I am no longer 283 pounds, but 203 pounds and only 3.1 away from a whole other land!
Had some great NSV's this week. My clients were so incredible with their compliments even saying "You don't need to lose anymore right"? CRAZY PEOPLE of course I do! HUGE NSV - I bought an absolutely adorable shirt at ANTHROPOLOGIE! Seriously...I'm going to see if I can find a photo.
Had such a great time with Kristin and Nicole at dinner. They are both absolutely adorable and are doing so well. It's fun that we were all banded in the same month so we can share that with eachother. I feel absolutely horrible that I made Kristin eat a piece of shrimp and that she literally gagged at the table. MY BAD! Won't ever do it again Kristin! ;o) Can't wait to get back to Boston so that we can do it again and I'm all about that slumber party in NYC. Let's plan it!
Off for my fill with Dr. Ren today. I'm thinking .25 or .3 cc's will likely do the trick but I'll see what she thinks. I also want to talk to her about setting my goal weight and why I still get the left shoulder pain. I'm thinking it's my full signal, although I also notice it usually accompany's gas (TMI), so would like to chat about that!
Girls weekend in NYC this weekend, so excited to see my college ladies. Have a great weekend everone! xoxo

Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your amazing weight loss! I'm just at the start of my banded journey; I had my surgery yesterday and it's inspiring to read about all the successes.
Jen, I meant to ask you: Can you do a post with the top five or ten things you think best helped you to lose the 80 pounds? Which rules do you follow/which ones do you slack on, etc? It would be really helpful to those of us just starting out.
