I have been jumping between 206 and 204.6 since the day after Christmas. I find that on the day after I exercise, I'm 206 (this morning), yet on the days I don't exercise I'm 204.6, nothing lower than that. I'm not changing how I'm eating, except trying to up my calories to a whopping 1200. I just don't get it. How am I supposed to be inspired to exercise if every time I do, I gain a pound? REALLY FRUSTRATING!!!
Any ideas on how I can get past this damn number. Seriously 203 will feel like 199 to me at this point. GRRRR

I think your calories are too low, especially on exercise days. I know I don't always lose consistently, but I do know that I know exercise, and I consume on average 1500 on a spinning day and lose. I would try to play around with that a bit... If I'm wrong sorry, but enjoy the ice cream! xox
ReplyDeleteI also think you could be gaining muscle-- have you taken measurements and how are your clothes fitting?
ReplyDeleteDon't discount the muscle gain and keep exercising!!! You'll get there...
One last thing to try: are you journaling everything you eat? Sometimes our minds deceive us, but I think it seems like you are keeping close track. If you're not, try that, b/c maybe you're eating more than you realize???
Just some thoughts...
Frustrating!!! Grrrr :/
ReplyDeleteI gave up the weighing daily. It was bringing me down. I now only take the weight my doctors scale shows.
I don't have much to offer other than support for your frustration.
Sending scale movement vibes your way....
Jen
Jen! Sorry the scale is driving you nuts!
ReplyDeleteI think sometimes for me it's not eating enough calories.
Really hoping I get to meet you on Wednesday!

I've seen the movement since I started chugging a ton of water again... maybe that will help speed things along? Good luck!!! I'm right there at the exact same numbers with you!
ReplyDeleteI cannot offer any help, my scale has been stuck for over two weeks :(
ReplyDeleteHi Jen. Weighing daily seems to be bringing stress. Exercise is a positive in every weight loss program of which I know. A low calorie diet will bring results in time. Easing up on the self pressure will lessen the frustration.Blessings!
ReplyDeleteTry a day of higher calories. . . works like a charm to do that once in a while. You'll have to keep on exercising and motor through this -- but don't worry. You will be in Onederland very soon!
ReplyDeleteDying to hear how the Alvin Ailey Zumba class was!
xoxoxo,
Catherine
Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteReplying to your sweet message about how we are going through the same thing. Wonder if there's something we can do together to re-kick this weight down across the miles? Hmm.. I'm thinking on it!
Meanwhile, just know that I'm feeing your frustration as you feel mine. It's not going to get us!!!! (Wish I had some words of inspiration.. will work on that too.)
xxx
I can feel your frustration but tend to agree with Jen and Catherine that perhaps you need more cals and some extra water??? I remember reading on Catherine's blog how she stayed the same for around 6wks??? when she started the boot camp. Stick with the exercise and know that the results will come....you look great by the way
