Almost There...and a REALLY Random Post!

Hey all,

I've written about how great my second fill was and that while I'm sad about my inability to eat peanut butter toast in the morning, I'm thrilled with the restriction I've got. Well, I woke up this morning and have lost nearly 48 pounds!  I'm .2 away from my next goal of 235 and only 2 pounds away from 50!! I lost 6 pounds last week....Insane! I'm really hoping to hit 50 before I go in for surgery on Friday. I'm liking this band thing! ;-)

Had two cavities filled this morning....that sucked! I hate the dentist. However, I have a new dentist, he's young and cute, very nice and didn't hurt me. That being said, I'm in some pain now. Not fun!

I made a yummy dinner tonight. I had chili on a grilled flour tortilla (soft taco size) with melted cheddar and fat free sour cream. It was high in sodium but it tasted so good and went down just great.

Work is absolutely insane right now. Seems like everything is hitting at the same time this week. And the politics at work are running rampant right now. The countdown to surgery has begun...four days and counting to get my thyroid chopped up! With work being this crazy, I seriously have never looked forward to surgery more!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Hey Girly!

Congrats on the huge loss this week!

I had a similar dinner tonight - 2 small corn tortillas, 2 fried egg yolks with melted cheddar and avocado and pico de gallo! Also super yum.

Good luck with your crazy work week, and more importantly the surgery.

  3. Almost 50 lbs, simply amazing :-)

Sorry life seems to be ramping up right now -- seems like the end of Sept comes and my workplace becomes a hot bed of back stabbing so I can relate.

I didn't realize your thyroid surgery was coning up so soon. But a 50 lb is a great way to start the surgery process. You may even find it doesn't stall weight loss much if at all. I'm just thinking you won't be hungry after surgery and will probably have a limited diet, too.

How much time off will you have for surgery recovery time?
