Lovely Labor Day - Hit Goal #2

I love Labor Day weekend in NYC. The city actually sleeps for one time all year. It's amazing how many people head off island for this holiday and I just love it. Had brunch with two girlfriends yesterday at the Comfort Diner. Since I was still on mushies, I just had some scrambled eggs. The diner is right around the corner from The Avenue. I don't usually shop there, I've just always had Lane Bryant's closer, but I found some great fitting pants cheap. So I bought a pair of dark grey and a pair of light grey and a cute, simple black dress. Pants were size 20's, Dress was an 18/20, so all three will likely last me another 15 pounds or so.

Woke up this fine holiday morning and took myself to a 10:30 showing of Harry Potter. I'd seen it on opening day, but this time it was in IMAX and 3D...very cool. I ate my greek yogurt breakfast during the movie and downed a bottle of water. After the movies, I went to the grocery store and stocked up. I plan on having my first post-op cheeseburger this week. I bought 93% lean ground beef and plan to eat it sans bread. I also decided to ditch the Weight Watchers bread (I've been having a slice of toast with reduced fat peanut butter for breakfast) and opted for the Arnold multi-grain. It's twice the calories at 110 a slice, but has 5 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber, so I'm hoping it will keep me fuller for longer.

I'm not noticing a difference with this fill as was expected, but we'll see what tomorrow brings as I begin solids again. Toast was going down fine pre-fill, we'll see what happens tomorrow morning!

Biggest news other than my shopping trip is that I hit my second goal.  I'm down to 245 - a loss of 38 pounds - which I had hoped to achieve by 9/21 but reached this morning. Hopefully these short term goals will keep coming so that I can be even skinnier by Homecoming on October 17th!!

Oh last thing. I've really been keeping up with the Wii Fit and really enjoying it. I try for at least 45 minutes a day. I tried EA Active Sports on Saturday and got my a$$ kicked!  It is HARD.  I think I'll keep Wii Fitting this week and revisit EA sports on Saturday. My triceps kill from boxing, so I'll be trying that one again tonight!

  3. that must feel AWESOME to get to a goal before planned. I'm the opposite, I think my goals are too aggressive for what I'm actually putting into it.

Yay for you! That next one isn't TOO far away!!!

  4. That's awesome girly girl! So proud of you. On the bread front, I think you're making a really good choice. As bandsters, our portions are so limited I think that sometimes it's important to choose the higher fat higher FOOD food, ya know? A lot of diet products are not designed with a portion control device already in mind.
