How I'm Doing

Nope, Didn't Make It, but I Feel GREAT!

So today is nine months since I started the two week pre-op diet before my surgery. I was 283 pounds that day. This morning, 183.6. 99.4 pounds in nine months, I feel amazing about that! I also feel grateful that the scale continues to move down. I realized when I updated my goals yesterday that it took me over two months to lose 10 pounds and get down to 185. There was seriously something working against me there, and I'm pretty sure it was that old tape repeating itself saying "you cannot be skinnier than 186.5, you couldn't do it before, what makes you think you can do it now."

Well, I've decided that I don't like tapes. They are old and outdated and I've decided that I should just burn them. I can do ANYTHING I want to do. It may have taken me two months to lose 10 pounds, but I've lost 6.2 in 8 days. How? Good restriction (think I'm back at my sweet spot), truly playing the game and getting back to the rules has been key. That and visualizing 184 (thanks Amy). We can do this ladies, we will have bad days, but look at where we've come! Couldn't have gotten over this hump without the support of all of you! You are absolutely amazing and I am so thankful for each of you!

Have a great day!! xoxo

  11. I hope to be as successful as you when my time comes. I will be visualizing that I lose 99.4 lbs in a year just like Jenny. Hmmmm, that sounds a little stalkerish/psycho. Hopefully you know what I mean. I don't want you running the other way when we meet in Chicago.

  14. Congrats, and like Catherine said, that's a 100 to me!! I think it is great to set goals, and great to accept how well we've done. I wanted to get to 100 by my bandiversary. I missed it by two or three weeks. Didn't make it any less special, just gave me something extra to celebrate. Love you!

  15. I am just so very impressed by you and your journey, Jen. I love hearing stories like yours and 9 months for 100 pounds is just obscene! Today at my doc appt. they kept stressing to me that a 1/2 pound to 2 pounds per week is what is expected wth the band and I just couldn't help but think of YOU. You realy broke through that glass castle, girlfriend. Great job.

  19. Why are you counting the pre-op? The pounds count but the time doesn't. You've got two weeks left to meet 100 lbs by your 9 month bandiversary! Get goin girl!!
