How I'm Doing

Look Who Got a Little Cocky!!

Fill seems to be working really well. My doctor has you do two days liquids, two days mushies, but I've gotten really cocky with the last couple of fills and have moved to mushies pretty much starting day two and to solids by day three. I did liquids yesterday, had an iced coffee for breakfast, a protein shake for lunch and another iced coffee at 4pm today. Decided to go ahead and have some refried beans with cheese for dinner tonight and it's going down fine. While I'm technically "cheating" doing mushies for dinner tonight since I'm not supposed to start until tomorrow, I see this as a major improvement from the last two fills and intend to do mushies tomorrow and Thursday and not return to solids until Friday.

I sat back today when I was thinking about what to have for dinner and realized that while I've still been eating relatively well, I've definitely gotten cocky and not stuck to the protein protein protein philosophy. For example, I haven't had cottage cheese since about three months after surgery. Great protein source, good breakfast option and a mushie. Haven't had refried beans with cheese in forever! That was a mushie staple of mine after surgery. So, back to the basics for me. I'm going to think about protein first, try to remember what I ate back in the early days and see if I can get the scale moving again.

Great NSV and SV today. NSV: Wore a size large dress from Urban Outfitters (given to me by my friend Barb when I raided her closet a few weeks ago). I felt so confident!! SV: Was back down to 188 this morning. I had gotten down as low as 187.4 but that was when I was overfilled, got some taken out and jumped back to 191. It's taken me 2 1/2 weeks to get back to 188. Here's hoping the scale keeps moving. Remember 186.5 is the LOWEST I have been in my late teen/adult life. Cannot believe it's only 1.5 pounds away. Also can't believe I'm only 5 from 100 pounds down. Hoping to hit that sometime next week. It's been too long since I've been able to post a number picture!!

If you haven't done so yet, check out Jen's blog. She's pondering a bandster in-person fun weekend. Whoo hoo!

  2. Great job with the post fill eating. I normally get a little cocky too and move the mushies on the first evening and then back to pretty regular stuff the second day. I am supposed to do 2 days clear liquids, 2 days full liquids and 2 days mushies!!

Great NSV, you are gonna hit 100 lbs down before you know it!
