I preface this post with the fact that I'm okay and yes I appreciate the work I've done so far, I really do but F$CK!!!!!! Scale this morning: 187. I know your answer is probably "Don't weigh yourself everyday Jen". Well, let's just get past that because it won't happen. ;-) The scale is my man. There are days he makes me happy and days that he makes me mad, but nevertheless I cannot stay away.
I visualized Amy. I went to bed and said "184, 184, 184". I even stood on the scale chanting 184 as if I could woo it into submission. Nope. 187. Really? I was 186.6 yesterday morning. I ran nearly 2 miles, burned 400 calories. What did I eat yesterday you ask?
Breakfast: iced coffee, cottage cheese (147 calories)
Lunch: Refried beans and cheese (1 cup, 294)
Snack: iced coffee, hummus, 8 crackers (237)
Dinner: Spaghetti squash with meat sauce and parm cheese (3/4 cup = 325)
Snack: peppermint patty (50)
Total: 1053
The weird numbers are because I logged my calories on my Lose It app yesterday!!
Anyway, frustrated but not letting it stop me. Today, logging again, drinking tons of water. And we'll see what tomorrow brings.
I'm five days late for my (.) You'd think that maybe I'm bloated except that I'm still visiting the bathroom regularly so that's not it. And ladies don't fret, pregnancy would be mean an immaculate conception at this point!!

Maybe up the cals for a day or two?
ReplyDeleteOne friend (w a band) who went from 300+ to a size 10 says she would eat cheese and crackers for a few days to shake up her weight loss.
I *always* show a gain (more than one lb.) everytime I exercise. It's only temporary. *See Amy's DOOMS theory.* It's a reality.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, it will be gone soon. I PROMISE!
I just commented on your last posting too (so you'll have two new ones from me :) )! You are doing so amazing! Think of your accomplishments right now!!!
ReplyDelete:( How much protein? is that? Maybe you need more protein especially when you are crazy running :) all in time :) it will come
ReplyDeleteI feel you with the scale, I'm a slave to it, no matter how hard I try to stay away, I can't. It's just like the boy your mom didn't want you to like, I mean I know he's bad for me, but I can't stop myself. O to be free from those ties. I wish that I was where you are, I haven't seen a weight with a 1 first in so long I can't remember. I don't know if my scale can go that low. You're such an inspiration, hang in there, that bastard will move, he has to!
ReplyDeleteYa know, maybe you're not eating enough? I know its weird, but I've always heard that people who plateau will eat a little more for a day or so and then get back to normal. Then the scale moves. Our bodies get used to our intake and get stubborn.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I think you are amazing! You are doing so well. It is so hard not to weigh everyday and not to get frustrated.
It is true what they say that you can take in too little calories (protein g's).. but also remember you Ran your ass off.. so you have expanded ligaments and muscle they are sucking up fluids and protein to repair themselves.. I bet you will see a nice drop tomorrow or the next day.. do not worry.. also thank you for your great comments about the fill and tightness.. I think I am in the tweaking zone now..
ReplyDeleteyes yes. Okay. A couple of things are clearly happening.
ReplyDeleteI say DOMS.
You are pregnant with the second comeing of baby Jesus.
There was a volcanic explosion in Iceland (or was it Greenland...doesnt matter), and we know that major things like this throw off the scale.
That's the only logical explanation.
I am going to email you back on FB princess!
Its your (.)! I don't even get near the scale a week before it!
ReplyDeleteI am with the water rentention due to exercise and muscle repair and maybe some more protein, throw in a shake it helps! You will get there soon, promise!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the other gals- it's DOMs, PMS, an earthquake, Drazil's husband's farts and the fact that it's the 3rd week of April that are keeping the scale from budging.
ReplyDeleteI am with you, that is the number I got last time on the scale so I am just staying away for a few days!!!!! Maybe you will be rewarded with a big drop!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I wanna see the J. Crew shirt! Model it please!
Hate it when positive vibes don't move the scale!! But you know it will move - you're doing everything right!
ReplyDeleteThis is totally a sodium thing... I am pretty sure. When I was doing this diet my doctor put me on, he said never to cottage cheese more then 3x a week because of the sodium. And you also had refried beans and pasta sauce.. all salty. It is fake weight!!
