Having Fun in NYC!

First things first, I cannot wait for Spring. I'm having so much fun being more social and getting out into the world a ton (not that I was a hermit before, but I wasn't attempting to make plans as much as I am now). BUT, it's WICKED (that's for Kristen and Nicole, my Mass friends) expensive. So, add that on top of the vicious cycle!! I feel like come spring, the weather is warmer and social activites  can involve the park and that means free!

I had a wonderful time last night with my friend Nicole. She lives in Burbank with one of my college roomates Adam and their two gorgeous kids. She has the coolest job EVER. She is the SVP of Marketing for the Henson company. This means she essentially does all cool things on behalf of the muppets! She's been doing a lot of work in NYC lately so I've seen her a couple of times between last fall and now. She has to be back to open their new show "Stuffed and Unstrung" in two weeks and is bringing the entire family because the kids are on spring break. Can't wait to see the show, supposed to be a hilarious, adult take on puppets. Nicole is just one of those incredibly optimistic, hilarious people who is so talented. We met when I vocal directed "Sweet Charity" my freshman year in college and she was one of the leads. We've been able to maintain a fantastic friendship over the past 19 years and the distance of two coasts. You gotta love friends like that! We went to Rue 57 here in the city. I had champagne for the first time and it was fine. She ordered it to celebrate my promotion! I ordered the Filet with mashed potatoes and had some green beans. It was yum! Tried to eat more of the meat first, but the potatoes kept calling my name. Ate about 1/2 the meal and we shared the most amazing piece of cheesecake I've had in a long time. So, that was my dessert for the weekend, it was delicious, I'm glad I had it, but I won't be ordering dessert at any of my other meals this weekend!

Was 192.4 this morning, but I have to believe that I'll be up by Monday morning due to the brunches and drinks out this weekend! Running begins again today, so wish me luck!
