Fruit and Trip

Thanks for all of the fabulous comments on my last blog ladies!

I started my day at 8am with a fruit/protein smoothie. I never eat in the morning anymore because I'm too tight. This went down fine, was so hungry by 10:30. Odd that on the mornings where I just have iced coffee I can make it till 11am before I'm hungry for a protein bar. Boo fruit smoothie. Don't worry, I'll try again, but slightly frustrating that I'm more hungry today than I have been and I ate 840 calories before I came home. Smoothie was 300 calories.

On a good note, I booked my vacation to California and Arizona today! I had a free ticket on Delta, so I'm off to visit my lovely friends Jenny and Matt and then on to Arizona to see Mom and family. Not leaving until April 30th and I'm pretty sure I'll be ticking down the days until then.

Oh...I tried Jillian's 30 day shred today. Did 5 minutes of it, died. How do you ladies get through that???????

  1. YAY congrats on booking the trip, that sounds like it will be a blast- How long will you be going for?

I can't make it through the shred either, it kills me, hang in there though...think about how hard wk1 of c25k was, and you made it through that!

  2. Jenny I do the exact same thing when I "eat" anything in the morning. Give me a protein shake and a latte and I'm good until 1 or 2. If I eat breakfast I am starving by 11...what gives? My "theory" is that if I eat early I "prime" my band and it some how loosens it so I get hungrier faster. It makes sense in my head. Good job on the fruit, I think. The trip sounds awesome!

  3. I'm the same when I eat anything with too much carb in the morning. If I stick to nothing or just protein I'm good. I think the sugar in the smoothies must stimulate the hunger.

  4. Yeah, I am not a fan of the fruit smoothie. Exact same thing happens to me. It is the sugar making me extra hungry, I think. So I am having coffee and then a Chai Latte every morning and don't eat breakfast (protein bar or oatmeal) till 11 am or later. The caffeine really keeps me from eating in the morning!

I have indeed made it through the shred...it is hard! Of course it has been a while since I whipped Jillian out. Probably time to start shredding again.

    Sounds like a fun trip!

  9. yay for vay-cay!
In the AM when you break your night time fast by eating food it gets your metabolism moving and you get hungry sooner...get it? break fast or breakfast? :)
Ideally, we would eat in the AM and stop eating at 6PM or so. But I'm so not hungry in the morning, but I can eat and eat and eat in the evening.

  10. You can do the 30 day shred! Dont let yourself quit! It may not be pretty, but I bet you can make it through the whole thing. Cuss at her a lot. I find that helps!

  11. The 30 day shred is tough! Just keep going tho, you can do it! Just do as much as you can of one move, take a break till she goes on to the next one. I can now do the whole thing of day 1 without stopping...but it took awhile. You are doing so great and looking so amazing!
