How I'm Doing

In a nutshell...

Meeting a bunch of women that you have only known through the internet. Sounds weird right? NOT AT ALL. I mean, I'll be honest. I arrived late on Friday and pulling up to the hotel was a bit intimidating. Everyone had been with eachother for hours. Drinks had been had. There were people I didn't know. But by Saturday night, it was as if the planet shifted. We shared something incredible. We shared the recognition that we had all made an incredibly brave decision to change our lives and that throughout that decision, we had eachother. That alone drew us all together in a way that no other "convention" could.

The weekend was a blur. It all just seemed to go by way too quickly. Conversations lasted for minutes that I would have wanted to last for hours. And p.s. the drinks flowed WAY too easily.

Saturday night post dinner...The Blue Frog...HILARIOUS. Umm...Sarah...let's just say, there's some catching up to do on that Jimmy. ;-)

More to follow, but work has been absolutely insane as soon as I hit the ground early Monday morning. Here are some quick pictures for all of you.

I cannot wait to see you all again!! xoxo

  4. Lord... no catching up needed - I can assure you that you saw everything that happened!!! (Ugh) What fun - and I was/am dead serious that I am going to try to find a weekend this winter/spring to come up to NYC and visit you and Catherine and whomever else is in that general vicinity - and with my hubby's blessing!!! Love you...

  13. So great seeing you...I will definitely try and get Barb to come with me to the city the next time the NYC hicks meet for lunch. I feel like that whole band/bugle corps. connection takes us to another level. I was so shocked to hear about George Parks. I remember he had been Drum Major of the Reading Bucs back in 1980 and that's when I started at West Chester. He was a hero there having been an alumni (sp?) I guess I never even knew that he ended up at UMAss. Again...I hope you stay strong as you deal with this major loss in your life.
If you ever need to talk...I'm here.
