I downloaded BlogPress to my iPhone so I thought I'd test it out. I'm on a train to Amherst Mass this morning headed to my Alma mater for the first football game of the season (also know as the first halftime show of the season). Today will be fun because in addition to the band playing my friend's band will be playing. They have been on tour for about the last 7 years, they are amazing and they went to the school so it should be a very cool experience for them to return home.
Now onto a different "band" story. It's not so much a thought but instead a cool realization. I was out with some girlfriends Friday night one of whom is engaged. She gave me her ring to try on and it fit! Looked gorgeous by the way. ;-) When I asked what size it was she said a 5.5. What?? I cannot believe that my ring finger is a 5.5! That seems so small to me. I was always the girl that tried on rings at craft fairs or jewelry stores and they were always too small. Another awesome result of this band of mine!!

ooh, I'm excited to try this out!! will def help me be able to post more often!!! hope you have a great weekend away! I am leaving for the Open at 10:30 on Monday, so doesn't look like I will make brunch sadly..would love to maybe try to do brunch another time this fall though?

ReplyDeleteWow, neat about the ring size. I have short fat fingers and I used to be a 10, I think? Am now about an 8 or maybe 7.5. But now when I go into Aldo accessories I can plunk as many baubles on my fingers as I want instead of looking at them wistfully :-) It's a weird feeling to realize that so many of the things I took for granted that I couldn't or shouldn't do before I can!
I was SO so SO excited to realize I could try on one of my friend's engagement rings! I felt the same way as you did before.

I went to my daughter's high school football game last night and we had a blast - probably because it was a close game and we won. Congrats on the ring size. I currently wear an 8, but my wedding ring is a 7 so my fingers were never really that small. Congrats on your NSV.
