That being said, I'm going back tonight. And you ladies and your amazing comments are one of the reasons why. I can't thank you enough for the support. It means the world and definitely keeps me going. I've committed to three weeks of this and Stacy's whole mantra is just try. So, I'm off to boot camp tonight. To the hill. I might cry like the cute baby in this picture while doing it, but I will not say "I can't" once tonight. I will do, and keep trying to the best of my abilities. Then I will promptly come home, get into the hottest bath I can take with a tub full of epsom salts and read. That will be followed by a lovely glass of wine, which dammit, I DESERVE! ;-)
Love you guys!! xoxo
Thanks for the comment! You are doing great at your camp! It definitely is a shock to the body, but I am betting you will be amazed at how much stronger you feel (and are!) at the end of your 3 weeks.
ReplyDeleteCouple funny(?) things from the asskicker - "there is no trying or crying in bootcamp". Trying - cause it's a matter of "doing" - do what you can to the best of your ability and keep good form. It's your best that is important. Crying - cause hello - we are a whiny bunch at 5:30am!!!
"You will not die." (Although - let's be real - it does seem at times they are trying to kill us!)
Those have stuck with me and thought I'd share.
Oh, and I yell at myself inside my head all the time: "I CAN do it". It's funny when I was listening inside my head how much I was saying "I can't do it". Flipping that switch as trite as it sounds really did improve my performance.
Can't wait to read more about your experiences!
I went back to my trainer yesterday and she killed me when I was there and she kept saying..."tomorrow you will not be able to move"! Well guess what skinny bitch, I can sit and pee and still walk! HAHAHH! It gets easier...YOU CAN MOST DEFINITELY DO IT!
ReplyDeleteLOL re Nella's comment! And, way to go Jen! I love it that you are digging in and sticking with it! Your body will thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve a bottle of wine! You are probably sore in places you didn't know you had muscles. I'm proud of you!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, "The little engine that couldn't" was a very unpopular book, while "The little engine that could" was very successful!
Make boot camp your bitch!
Can you have the wine IN the bathtub? I think that might be a better idea... hell... have a whole bottle! Keep up the amazing work!
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time getting up from peeing, I'm just saying!
ReplyDeleteKick ass tonight and enjoy your bath and wine - um, I think I agree with Joey - you deserve a bottle! <3
Sister I feel your pain!! I can just now move my legs without pain from last weeks abduction exercies. It will get better and you will have the knowledge that you are a rockstar for kicking boot camps ass!! I gripe and groan about my trainer and my workouts all the time but honestly I feel so freakin powerful for taking my body back, it makes every thing else worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteLet us know how it goes! I'm rooting for you against the hill, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteOh Jenny, you're doing so well. Keep hanging in there and just trying. I've always regretted quitting, although at the time I was in such pain I couldn't imagine how I could keep it up.
ReplyDeleteTake a "before" of a couple muscle groups today, if you haven't already. I'll be interested to see what three weeks of torture does to sculpt your hot bod.
Those trainer know what they're doing!!
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you are going back shows how strong you are. You are my hero.
ReplyDeleteI hope it went well and I hope you had at least two glasses of wine!
