How I'm Doing

I DID IT!!!

So glad that I went. It was so hard! We met at 86th street and I (in my wise ways) decided to walk down to where we were meeting her at 72nd. There were two women there waiting and I got down to stretch. Stacy walked up and said "What are you guys doing here, you're all supposed to come together". Even though we explained that we started early, she wanted us to do it together, so we had to run back to pick up our teammates! Luckily they had made it to about 78th street so it wasn't that far of a run.

Let's see. Boot camp tonight was:

  • 1 minute jumping jacks
  • I minute inch worms (with straight legs, crawl to a push up position but walk your hands out past your head to really work your core)
    • We did three sets of both of those
  • 1 minute squat jumps
  • 1 minute push ups
    • Three sets of those
Then we went to the hill...ugh

  • 25 mountain climbers on each leg (push up position, in place run your legs)
  • Then run up the hill (it's probably about 50 yards...and uphill)
  • 10 squat thrusts at the top of the hill
  • Run back down the hill
    • SIX SETS OF THAT!!
You see it took me and my buddy (nice girl I met at camp), the rest of boot camp to do that. Everyone else proceeded to do:
  • 40 squats
  • 30 pushups
    • Three sets of that
  • Sprinted up and back down the hill in 40 seconds
I've gotta admit...I'm glad I missed that part!! ;-)

I felt good about what I did tonight. I walked back home the 14 blocks and immediately got into an epsom salt bath with my people mag. I decided against the wine. All that my body wanted was water. I have to go eat now. I'm never hungry right after exercise, really no desire to eat. But I'm finally ready for some food.

Thanks again for the amazing support! Did I mention I have a massage and a facial scheduled for Sunday. CANNOT WAIT!!!!

  7. Good for you!! Keep on eating-- replenish your carbs and protein after these tough workouts so that you don't get TOO hungry and eat too many calories to backfire your awesome results.

Congrats on being such a tough woman-- I don't think I could pull of these workouts at this point in time!

  8. You go Jen...I am in awe! My gym had a "free" boot camp session that I happily passed up! I just started working with a Personal Trainer so I'm taking it one step at a time.

  11. I love boot camp! But I can't wait until I am no longer the biggest gal there... it is exhausting trying to figure out at what level I should be doing things... At least I can squat now the day after a boot camp class. lol! Nice to meet you... I have only been banded since March. It's great to see others so successful! I'm at: http://lapwithme.blogspot.com/ I'll have to check back with you soon...
