How I'm Doing

6:30 A.M.

Seriously? It's Saturday morning and I'm up at 6:30. That blows!! Too much on my mind, but all good stuff. By the way, had my fill on Tuesday, it was great. Feeling perfectly restricted so far, so hoping this is my sweet spot again! Best news is that I'm in the 170's! 178.6 to be exact. Only 13 pounds from goal. YEAH!!

Question for all of you lovelies! Does anyone have United Healthcare and if so, what's the coverage like? Do they cover your fills?

  1. I do not have United Healthcare. You are doing fantastic on your weight loss!

  2. I got changed to UH this year, they didn't do my surgery so I was worried about the fills. I have a deductible that I haven't met yet, so they'll cover 85% when I do. Up to this point I've gotten a few $45 dollar bills for fills(which is good), so even though they aren't covering yet they are getting me the negotiated rate.
Amazing you are so close to goal!

  3. I have oxford/united. You have to check that the policy your employer chooses has a bariatric rider. The way to check is call the insurance company. Ask them specifically what they will and will not cover. Get the name and id number of the person you speak with and ask them to send you confirmation in writing.

My policy has covered everything, perfectly. I paid like 90 bucks out of pocket for surgery. I pay a 20 dollar co-pay for fills, but I am on the HMO, so I had to get referrals from my primary care doc - he put ten into the system.

  5. Like Yana said, it is all based upon the policy your employer purchased. No blanket statements about any carrier and the plans they offer can be made about bariatric services. Hope yours does!

    You're looking absolutely amazing.
Can't offer anything on the insurance front.
    Have a good weekend.
