I'm officially on vacation and it's been a lovely week so far. Can't believe it's almost halfway done already! I borrowed my friend's car and drove to CT on Monday to spend the day with my fantastic friend Liz who is about to have her first baby. She is actually due today but no movement yet!! We went to lunch and had mani's/pedi's. Between lunch and the beautifying, I stopped into Ann Taylor to check out the sales. HUGE NSV's! I walked out with a pair of size 12 pants (my first 12's since highschool). I also bought a Large sweater, and a size 12 dress. Cannot believe it! After chatting for a while I drove further north to Massachusetts to spend time with my friend Becky. We went to a bbq at another friend's house last night and watched The Bachelorette. Today, Becky had summer school (she's a teacher), so I went shopping. Since I start the new job next Monday, I wanted to have some new dud's. So, I started at Macy's. Bought a beautiful size 14 Tahari suit. Originally $280, on sale for $140, I had a 20% off coupon. Woot! I could've probably gotten the 12, but they didn't have one and the 14 fits comfortably, not tight, not too loose. I bought a great ruffled shirt to wear under the suit (originally $49, on sale for $7). I bought two black cardigans, size XL in the juniors department...SERIOUSLY???? I bought two more fantastic Wacoal bras. Here's the sad part. I've gone from a 44DD to a 38...wait for it. C. UGH. While this would be fine if the tata's were perky, they have absolutely deflated. Lastly, I bought a beautiful pair of shoes. I'm in LOVE with them. I'll post a picture once I get a chance.
Fun day shopping. Got really good sales and felt really good about the size I am!
Tonight I had dinner with another friend from college while Becky went a concert she had previously scheduled. I'm now back at my friends apartment, showered, ready for bed and watching TV. A lovely vacation evening!!
Tomorrow we're headed to the aquarium in Boston to catch up with some old college friends, then I head back home for a couple days of R&R before the new job starts.
