I think this is the best NSV yet. Today was my first day at my new job. I had to be fingerprinted. The guy asked my age, height and weight. I wasn't embarrassed to say 177. Probably the first time in my life that I wasn't embarrassed to tell someone my weight. WOOT!
Thanks to everyone for the comments on my plastic surgery blog. To be a bit more specific. I would only have the arm surgery if I could get the minimally invasive one which is not the scar from elbow to armpit. My friend had that surgery and has some pretty extensive scars. My hope is that with the minimally invasive one (which I've seen pictures of, the scar is about two inches, but mostly concealed in the armpit) I could get away with less scarring. I know that you all know this, but when you have something that makes you feel significantly less beautiful you want it gone. You can't tell from the pictures. I look at the pictures and think that my arms look pretty good. But when I'm sleeveless and my arms are at my sides, you can see the cellulity fat sticking out. So much so that my neighbor (and friend S) was taking a picture of me and told me to adjust my arms so that it couldn't be seen. Please know that she didn't say this is a bad way, she knows that it bothers me and that I wouldn't have wanted it in the picture. It makes me feel insecure and gosh darnit, NOBODY should feel insecure after losing this much weight!!!!!!!!
p.s. First day at new job was GREAT!

I agree that you deserve to do what makes you feel secure. I hope it all works out.
ReplyDeleteGreat NSV..
ReplyDeleteHope the new job goes well.
And I would like to learn more about the minimally invasive surgery as well.
I have only seen the arm surgery that has that big scar.. so I never even considered it on my list...
I'm glad your first day went well. I'm not sure that I've ever honestly told my correct weight for stuff like that - so great NSV.
ReplyDeleteI would like to learn more about the minimally evasive surgery too. I can Spanx my tummy, but my arms bother me.
congrats on the first day going so well! So happy for you <3
ReplyDeleteGreat on the job!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely get the arm thing. I have the same issues with my arms.... HATE them. They've always been there too, I feel like. No matter what weight I've been my arms have remained bat-wingy and nasty.. I would love to get that crap taken off... for sure!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the awesome NSV :)
Congrats to you baby!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your first day went well! And, on the plastic surgery -- go for it! Life is too short for you to have to live with something you don't like after all the hard work you've done.
ReplyDeleteAwesome NSV, I am glad your first day went well! I like the idea of the minimally invasive surgery, after all you have done you should not have one thing on your body that you are not proud to show off!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new gig and the NSV!
ReplyDeletecongrats on the new job AND the NSV! I am so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO great NSV love you lady!!
ReplyDeleteLove the NSV and so glad your first day went well. I agree on the arm surgery!!! I hate my arms but dk if I could live with the scars. Let me know if you pursue this or even go to any appts because I would love to hear your thoughts...I may change my mind after having teh baby though as maybe a tummy tuck may be #1 :-)
ReplyDeleteNice NSV!!! I'm amazed that you are 177 - you look smaller. Must be all the muscle. I hear you on the arm front.....I hate looking over and seeing these upper arms that look like day old oatmeal. I think you look great...but I know how you feel. Glad the jobby-job is going well!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the first day was great! I hope I look as small as you when I'm 177! I'll get there someday soon! :)
