Non-weight loss related good news. I got promoted! Here's the situation: I have to decide this weekend whether or not I want to run the North American side of the business for my firm or keep New York and have them re-hire my boss. Big decision to make as it clearly means a great deal more work. The interesting thing is, my boss (the CEO) promoted me today to SVP - Director regardless of my decision. CRAZY! Well, not crazy. I'm good at what I do and he knows that it's deserved. Very excited! Very nervous about moving forward because I know that I'm going to tell him I want the job, so this weekend will be all about what I need to run this business effectively. AMAZING!!!
Man, after such a tough year last year being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, two surgeries in three months, bad economy, losing 10% of my salary. 2010 is starting out pretty damn great!!

ReplyDeleteOh Jen, congratulations!!! That is so great... I'm hoping that they have more than made up for the 10% salary cut AND a raise?!?!? (Of course, that is the HR manager in me coming out) Great opportunity - dont' forget to negotiate! The worst they can say is no... (i.e. more vacation, raise, better resources, etc...) Great problem to have!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, you deserve all the good things coming your way.
ReplyDeletePS If I'm the only NYC bandster who can do brunch on the 7th, I'm happy to reschedule for another time when more people can join us, if you'd like. I'll leave it to you to decide.
Wonderful news! You so deserve it.
ReplyDeleteLove,
