Vegas Baby!!

Hi Everyone! I'm really behind on everyone's blogs between my meetings all last week and then Vegas, but I'm catching up. I had an absolutely amazing time in Vegas. I seriously have the most amazing girlfriends in the world and we just have the best time each time we're together. Let's see, a rundown of my trip.

Thursday night - arrived in Vegas at 8pm, got to the hotel and got ready to go to dinner. We had dinner at our hotel, we stayed at the Paris and ate at Mon Ami Gabi. I ate light, just had a crab cake because I am really affected by plane travel over long distances so I knew I'd be tight. There were seven of us at dinner, my bff's Julia and Kelley, three of Julia's bf's from college and the brother-in-law of one of them. We had a great time, lots of laughs. Kel and I were exhausted so we ended up hanging back at the hotel while the others went out. We threw $20 in a Wheel of Fortune slot machine, lost it in 2 minutes and promptly went up to bed! Friday morning - Julia, Kelley and I decided to go to the Buffet at the Bellagio. I'm not sure if you've heard about it, I hadn't. Apparently it's on the Food Network all of the time. Really good food. BUT, it was noon - and I have a lap band (in case you didn't know ;-)), so I ate very little. Got stuck...not sure on what, but it sucked. I managed to get it down without any pb'ing so that was good. After eating we went shopping at the mall under our hotel, then took a nap for a bit. That night we met up with the rest of our girlfriends that had flown in that day at Olives at The Bellagio. This is where it gets fun!! We were sitting at the bar drinking some martini's. Mine was a lemon drop and it was YUM! There were three guys sitting next to us and one of them was a cutie. I noticed him looking over at me, but didn't do anything. About five minutes later he bought me and my friend Helen a drink. We ended up talking for a quick minute or two before we had to go to our table. He ended up kissing me on the neck and telling me I was gorgeous. UM HELLO!!! How fun is that?!? He told me that he and his friends were going to another restaurant in the hotel for food and that I should go there. I didn't, but after dinner, I went to the bathroom and my friend Jen came in to tell me that "my man was back in the bar". I went back in and asked him why he came back "To see you". OH Vegas and the cheesy and forward men! But I was incredibly flattered. They tried to get us to stay but my girlfriends were all heading to a club. Here's the part where I kick myself. 1) I should have given him my number, he didn't ask and I didn't think about it. 2) I should have stayed! I know no regrets in Vegas, but the club was so crowded that Kelley, Helen and I ended up leaving and heading back to the bellagio for a drink anyway. Silly me!! p.s. the club we went to was called XS and it was at The Wynn. The doctors that we were with (bosses of a friend) paid $6,000 for bottle service there. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Saturday: Went to breakfast - I had a crepe, got stuck after two bites. We went shopping to get Beth and Helen inappropriate dresses - it is Vegas after all. Then we had martini's and then hit the spa for massages, sauna, steam room and hot tub. It was awesome. Best part - Tracy had given me a hot bathing suit! It's a miracle suit, strapless with ruching at the breasts. Sweetheart neck line. My friends were so amazing, they didn't stop telling me how great I looked. I felt amazing! After the spa we napped and then got ready for dinner. Girls convinced me to wear a sexy Victoria's secret dress I had gotten for $20. It's a tube dress that has sleeves, cowl neck, blouses at the waist and is very tight in the bum. Unfortunately by the time dinner was over it had stretched so badly that I had to hold it up on the sides! I ended up buying some safety pins to fix it and all was well. Got a ton of compliments on the dress and again felt so sexy! Dinner was Emeril's restaurant Table 10 at The Palazzo. Yummy food, for the third night in a row I had a crab cake for dinner. The doctor's ended up paying for our meal (there were 14 of us, so incredibly nice!) Then we went to Tao nightclub. It was amazing. We had a table on a balcony that overlooked the dance floor with bottle service. Can't imagine how much it cost the doctors. We paid for nothing. We danced and danced and had an amazing time. Got back to the hotel at 3am, woke up at 8am. UGH! Hung out with the girls and then caught our flight home at 4pm. The picture on the left is before going out. The middle is late at night (very sweaty) with my friend Jenn. I put the last picture in here just because I like how skinny my arm looks. ;-)

Amazing trip. I got stuck at nearly each meal with the exception of the yogurt i had for breakfast on the last day, so that sucked, but I made it through and my friends all know about the band so it wasn't a big deal. I seriously think those long plane rides just make me so tight. I'm still really tight now. 

Lastly I had an interview today and wore an old suit Jones of New York - size 16 that I hadn't worn in five years. Thought I'd upload some 86 pounds down comparison pictures. Hope you are all well! I missed you!!
