On the train...
Commuting to work and thinking that I should blog a bit. It's been a really good week food wise. I've gone out to dinner twice and made very good choices. My WW weeks run from Sunday through Saturday and I still have 35 extra points for the week so that's a good sign that I haven't overindulged. I had a really satisfying dinner last night. I ordered Gorgonzola crusted filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. I ordered medium but it showed up well done so I sent it back. I don't do that often but when I'm tracking points and having a night out, you better believe I'm going to make sure I get what I want! The great part was that I ate all of the asparagus before cutting into the steak and then when I got my new perfectly cut steak I got all new asparagus! So I ate 1/3 of the filet and two servings of asparagus and one bite of the potatoes. Dan and I ordered a mini dessert but she gave us the sampler of desserts since my food wasn't right to start. Dan and I both had about three bites and stopped. Yeah! Most importantly I tracked every bite. It was a great feeling to know that I could indulge without completely blowing the week. I haven't exercised this week but I am still planning on going to my first yoga class in the morning. I will up the exercise next week!

Sounds like a great week! I've been thinking about WW for some extra accountability.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing WW online not to lose weight but more to stay accountable while I can't exercise. I understand completely how good you feel about how nice it is to be able to indulge without overindulging! I am so happy for you on so many levels!
