Lack of wine and other musings...

First, it's so good to be back and thank you for the prayers for Gramma and thoughts on the loss of Bandit.

Weight Watchers is going well for me so far. It's day 3 1/2 since I started at lunch Sunday. I'm only weighing myself on Sundays so I have no idea whether I've lost anything yet but I tell you I'm more focused on my mind right now and less on the scale. I won't say I feel good in fact my body feels like crap. It's a mixture of things. First week back at work after two weeks of staying up late, sleeping in and not being stressed. I haven't been able to fall asleep early, have been so tired getting up, have my period and have had headaches each day. I think that is two fold - lack of carb intake and no wine! BUT my mind feels good. I know that I'm doing good things for myself by eating more fruits and veggies and being planful about my meals. I'm tracking and staying at my points and I'm drinking a ton of water. I decided that in order to jump start my healthily lifestyle I'd stop drinking wine at home for a while. I'm a one to two glasses of wine a day girl so I figure dumping that for a while gets rid of liquid calories. I have a rule with myself where I can still have a drink if I got out to dinner, but just nothing at home. It's been working well! The wine will come back into my house when I'm ready but I'd like to get back to a happier place weight wise before doing so.

I made my annual appointment for next Friday so I will have an esophogram and make a decision about a fill. Looking forward to getting back into the zone from a band perspective.

Dan and I are off to a casino on Friday, he has a baseball conference there so that will be the day where I will use some of my extra points. Hoping to win some money and have fun!!

  1. Heather and I attempted to run 6 miles on Saturday, which before I took a couple weeks off over the holidays (from running), I could have managed to do...slow...but still. Well, we only made it three miles running and then walked the rest. Even Heather. Working out has been really tough since we have been juicing. My body is also really achy...I don't know if there is a tie to the achy, but I am sure the lack of energy bc I am not getting much protien and we aren't taking our creatine. Oh well. One day at a time!
