Just got back from San Francisco. Business trip = Exhausted! Excited to be home, but leave again for New Orleans on Sunday. I was supposed to have a fill today, but got my (.) yesterday = OF COURSE! UGH!! Things are okay though. Slowly trying to get back on track. Had a decent day today, and have a workout tomorrow night after work with my trainer.
Had REALLY disappointing news today. My band director who passed away last year was replaced today. In most of our eyes it should have been with the associate band director and hall of fame percussion instructor who took over and led the band without fail this last season. Instead, the music department chose a person who admitted that he'd never even head of my former band director. Let me just say...my former band director was the second most google searched term on the day he died. Really...you are a college band director and have never heard of this man? If I felt that the music department chose this person in the interest of the students, I would feel differently, but I honestly believe they chose a person that they felt they could control and make one of them. NOT the right decision!!
