I was walking home tonight beating myself up over the fact that my weight has remained unchanged for about the past two months. Changed my ticker, my new official weight is 175. I kept thinking "Ugh, I'm 10 pounds from goal", then it hit me. "OMG, I'm 10 pounds overweight". I've heard friends say to me in the past - "I need to lose 10 pounds" and I would think "My god, if I only had to lose 10 pounds, that would be amazing." Well, guess what...I have to lose 10 pounds. Just words, but it makes me feel better in some strange way!
I was supposed to have a fill on Friday, I didn't end up getting one. I like being able to eat without worrying about getting sick. I had brunch with friends at 11am this morning and I could eat without anyone questioning why I didn't eat more. It was great. Also, I have an international flight ahead of me so I will likely be super tight when I land. I'm going to Paris for work next Saturday and then spending the following weekend there with a friend. Any bandsters in Paris??
What I need to do to get off this 10 pounds isn't get a fill, it's to step up the exercise! That's where I'm going to get the pounds off, which I would still like to do by my 38th birthday on December 22nd. Totally doable!
For now, I feel really amazing at what I've accomplished and am so happy about my band!

ReplyDeleteOMG!!! The comparison photos are incredible!! You look AMAZING!! Only 10 pounds to go is an enviable state to be in -- congratulations to getting there! When you lose one more pound (or a fraction of one), you can celebrate having only a single digit to lose. Woah, right?? Amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt's like looking at 2 completely different people!!! You look gorgeous and your progress speaks for itself. The 10 lbs will come off eventually...gets harder the closer you get. You've done so well!

ReplyDeleteOMG...you're gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThat top picture on the right is my favorite.
You have accomplished so much Jenny! You look gorgeous and whether or not you get to goal by your birthday doesn't matter! You'll get there Chica!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! God, remember when we first started? It's hard to believe how much has changed. 10 lbs is NOTHING. You'll get to goal very soon :-)
ReplyDeleteYou were beautiful then but now you are polished. LOVE your gorgeous hair!! I have a hair obsession going on right now - sigh.
ReplyDelete10 pounds is NOTHING. I also remember writing a blog on the this - those times when someone would grumble - oh I need to lose a couple of kilos and I would think .. oh pah. A couple - try a couple of hundred (ok that was an exaggeration but you know what I mean!) Looking good, girl. xxx
looking WONDERFUL!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteAmazing. You are what the band's about.
ReplyDeleteJen-- you are GORGEOUS! I am so proud for you and of you. You're right to focus on what you've accomplished.
ReplyDeleteChanging up your exercise is a wonderful idea, and staying mindful of that last 10 pounds that you can take off when you're ready. At this point: it is not about what you look like-- you're perfect. It is about finishing what you started and making the point to yourself. But you have your WHOLE LIFE to get there. And you will.
xoxo
Jen - You look amazing and have done such a good job. You are inspirational.
ReplyDeleteI recently read your blog start to finish (no I am not a stalker!). It's interesting to see what your journey has been like. I am going to be banded on December 1st. It's so good to hear that you would do it again.
Thanks so much!
